FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register someone for Electronic Monitoring?

All of our Electronic Monitoring participants are assigned by a judicial jurisdiction. At that time, a member of our EM team or a court representative may complete this form to enroll the individual in the program.

How do participants make payments?

City of Faith Electronic Monitoring participants will receive an invoice from our accounting department whenever a payment is due. During registration, each participant provides an email address for billing and selects their preferred invoicing cycle (weekly, biweekly, monthly). All payments must be made in advance of the monitoring period.

What if the court is paying for the cost of EM?

During registration, participants have the option to select court pay. If chosen, our Accounting Department will invoice the Court Clerk directly based on their preferred billing frequency.

Are participants required to sign an agreement?

Yes, all participants must sign an agreement with City of Faith. This agreement requires them to keep the Electronic Monitoring equipment on or with them at all times, make timely payments, and return all equipment in proper working condition.

What happens when a participant has completed their required time on EM or takes a plea deal?

City of Faith only requires an email from the Court Clerk or Probation Officer notifying us that the participant no longer needs Electronic Monitoring equipment. We may request that the participant leave the equipment at your office until a team member can retrieve it.

Who do I contact if I have a question, concern, or need information about a participant?

During our on-boarding process we identify key members from the judicial jurisdiction that are able to receive information.  We are available 24/7 via email or phone.

What happens if we don't have equipment and someone is sentenced to EM?

Call us immediately to explore your options. We have hardware and software solutions available for urgent situations.

What if the participant breaks the device?

All participants are offered the option to purchase insurance for their devices. If a participant chooses not to purchase insurance, they will be responsible for covering the replacement cost of the equipment. Each device has a specific price, which is communicated to the participant during registration. City of Faith will manage the collection of fees for any broken equipment.

What happens if a participant is unaccountable? How are incidents relayed to the judicial jurisdiction?

During the MOU or contracting period with a judicial jurisdiction, a point of contact is designated. For specific participants, a key person can be identified to receive all notifications. Our Account Managers are available 24/7 for any urgent updates. Routine progress reports are emailed to the designated court contact, and immediate phone notifications are available when necessary.

Can I use your devices for my kids?

Although this question is frequently asked, we refrain from using our equipment unless the participant has been court-ordered to do so.

I'm dissatisfied with your service, how do I make a complaint?

We take our customer service very seriously.  We have over 40 years of experience working with all levels of government.  We want to make sure we are providing the best service possible.  Please reach out to our Chief Operations Officer for any concerns.
